If you are a student, business owner, or key leader in a company, e-waste drives are an excellent way to make a difference. Our goal is to collect as much e-waste and devices as possible and partner with YOUR local nonprofit organizations that are eliminating the digital divide.
Hosting a drive involves communicating with your campus or employees and encouraging participation several weeks in advance.
We come to your location and set up collection points for people to drop off their e-waste.
After the drive, we will take the converted devices your volunteers repurposed on-site and deliver them directly to your nonprofit of choice.
As far as unusable or unconvertable devices go, we will recycle these at our local R2-certified recycling partner.
How Do You Sign Up?
Contact us if you are interested, and one of our staff will get back to you and verify that your organization is viable. Once completed, we will begin the process of organizing your drive!
Who Hosts Them?
Anyone who wants to make a difference by setting up an e-waste drive- Businesses, Organizations, Schools, Colleges, even Individuals or Communities.
Why Do We Do Them?
Drives are our way of championing your institution or place of business and helping you make a difference in your community by addressing the digital divide and stewarding the Earth’s resources. We get to celebrate you and your involvement. It lowers the cost of shipping and handling, especially for those who want to donate multiple devices/e-waste. Ultimately, it gives us access to more devices, enabling more lives to be changed!
What Is Needed To Have One?
- Eagerness to make a difference.
- Access to hundreds of devices and the database to communicate the opportunity.
- Authority to set a date + location; being the key decision-maker or having access to the decision-maker.
